Along with the Kit you get the main vacuum sealer unit, universal lid five and one half inches, Foodsaver bottle stopper, three-quart size bags, three-gallon size bags, one roll of 11” X 10’ to make your own custom sized bags, one and a half quart canister, a video and tubing for the canisters.
One of the efficient feature of this machine is the cutter has been placed on the top of unit. After turning the unit on you can take your hands off, you don’t have to hold this one down. This sealer unit has five levels of sealing and the switch that turns them is a heavy-duty switch. The Manual button can be used to seal potato chips etc. when you don’t want all the air to be removed from the package. There are five lights on the panel of the sealer unit. This machine can handle any size of rolls since the sealer channel is long. The machine holds a roll of bags inside, the drip tray in the vacuum channel is washable and removes quite easily. The Tilia FoodSaver Professional III Plus is user friendly and easy to work with. You can put the roll of bags into the storage compartment of the unit. Then you can just pull as much you wanted for the food and an extra couple of inches for security purpose. Next thing you have to turn the knob to the desired setting and press the manual button, a red light comes on and when it goes off your bag is sealed on the bottom. You may use the knob for the cutter on the top of the unit; it slides from left to right and then back again, giving you a perfect cut every time. Always make sure that the top of the bag is inside the channel and then close. Now turn the knob to the number you want and vacuum pack the food item.
The drip channel has an approved antibacterial composition that inhibits the growth of germs. It is advisable to put the moist food in the freezer for about an hour or two, to prevent that reddish looking moisture that always seems to clog up the channel when sealing fresh meat or poultry. The sealer is noisy and heavy but looks nice sitting on the Kitchen counter.
